1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to CourtScout. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this platform are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
2. Description of Service
CourtScout is a court discovery, booking, and payment platform operating in the Philippines. We connect players with sports facilities, enabling users to search for courts, view availability, make bookings, and complete secure payments. Our service includes:
- Court discovery and search functionality
- Real-time availability viewing
- Secure online booking system
- Payment processing via PayMongo (supporting GCash, Maya, credit/debit cards)
- Booking management and confirmation notifications
- Court owner dashboard and reservation management tools
All pricing is displayed in Philippine Pesos (₱). CourtScout acts as a platform connecting players with court owners but is not itself a party to the booking agreement between users and facility owners.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of CourtScout, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and current
- Maintain the security of your account by protecting your password and restricting access to your account
- Promptly notify us if you discover or suspect any security breaches related to your account
- Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
You may not use another user's account without permission. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel bookings at our sole discretion.
4. Court Bookings & Payments
When you make a booking through CourtScout:
- You are entering into a binding agreement with the court owner to use their facility at the specified date and time
- Payment must be completed through our platform using PayMongo's secure payment gateway
- Accepted payment methods include GCash, Maya, and major credit/debit cards
- All prices are listed in Philippine Pesos (₱) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
- A platform service fee may be added to your booking total
- You will receive a booking confirmation via email once payment is successfully processed
- Court owners may require additional verification before confirming your booking
CourtScout facilitates the transaction but does not own or operate the courts. Payment disputes should be directed to our support team at support@courtscout.io.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Each court listing on CourtScout has a specific cancellation policy set by the court owner. The four policy types are:
- Flexible: Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before booking time
- Moderate: Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before booking time; 50% refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before
- Strict: Full refund if cancelled at least 7 days before booking time; no refund for cancellations within 7 days
- Non-refundable: No refunds for any cancellations
The applicable cancellation policy is clearly displayed on each court's booking page before you complete payment. Refunds, when applicable, are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. Platform service fees may not be refundable depending on the timing of cancellation.
Court owners may cancel bookings in exceptional circumstances (facility damage, weather emergencies, etc.), in which case a full refund will be issued.
6. Court Owner Responsibilities
If you list a court on CourtScout, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your facility, including photos, amenities, pricing, and availability
- Honor all confirmed bookings made through the platform
- Maintain your facility in safe, clean, and playable condition
- Respond to booking inquiries and confirmations in a timely manner
- Set clear and fair cancellation policies for your listings
- Process refunds according to your stated cancellation policy
- Comply with all local laws and regulations governing your facility
- Carry appropriate insurance for your facility
Failure to honor bookings, maintain facility standards, or provide accurate information may result in suspension or termination of your listing privileges.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use CourtScout to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit harmful or malicious code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Make fraudulent bookings or payments
- Attempt to circumvent our payment system
- Scrape or collect data from the platform without authorization
- Impersonate others or provide false information
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the platform
We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including termination of accounts and legal action.
8. Intellectual Property
The CourtScout platform, including its design, features, functionality, source code, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by CourtScout and is protected by Philippine and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our platform without our express written permission.
The CourtScout name, logo, and related marks are trademarks. Other trademarks, service marks, and logos used on our platform are the property of their respective owners.
9. Limitation of Liability
CourtScout provides the platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
CourtScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the platform
- Any conduct or content of third parties on the platform
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- The condition, quality, or safety of courts booked through the platform
- Cancellations or changes to bookings by court owners
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of CourtScout shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of CourtScout after any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
We encourage you to review these terms periodically to stay informed of any updates. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you must stop using the platform.
